P.D.M.U. & R.S.E.

What is P.D.M.U.? The letters stand for Personal Development and Mutual Understanding.  This area of the curriculum helps pupils feel good about themselves, understand their feelings and see how they interact with the wider world around them.  It is also about building up pupils' confidence and giving them an emtional 'toolkit' to deal with their relationships with those around them  In addition, it equips them to be good family members, friends and citizens in their community and the wider world.

R.S.E. is a very important element of our P.D.M.U. curriculum.  R.S.E. stands for Relationship and Sexuality Education (see Pastoral Care tab for more details). As a school, working with parents, we have a responsibility to prepare pupils for their development in Relationships and Sexuality Education. In particular, this does mean preparing pupils for puberty and for their growth into adult life.

The P.D.M.U. Leader in our school is Mrs Clifford.
