Our Pastoral Care Team

Giving all our pupils the help to thrive.
Giving all our pupils the help to thrive.

We have an excellent Pastoral Care Team that meets each month. This team is very effectively led by Mrs Watson. The team includes staff from the nursery to Key Stage 2. Mr Bailie is also a member of the team to represent the school's leadership. Both Mrs Baillie (Chairperson of the Board of Governors) and Mrs Douglas (Child Protection Governor) attend the meetings a minimum of once per year.
This team has three key remits:
To proactively promote pupils' happiness, health and resilience;
To train staff and engage with wider stakeholders to protect and support our pupils and their families;
To deal with concerns and support families when required.
Each June Mrs Watson presents a report to the Board of Governors about the work of the Pastoral Care Team and child protection issues.
We are very proud of this team and its impact on our pupils, families and the school as a whole.
