As part of our 'Food' topic we based some literacy activities on the story of The Little Red Hen.
- We used a Powerpoint story to take part in shared reading.
- We worked in groups to sequence pictures of the story.
- We painted characters and a story map backdrop.
- We worked together on the Interactive Board to write our own class version of the story.
- We each wrote sentences to create our own individual stories.
- We made a class big book and a display about what we had learned.
