ICT Pupil Mentor Scheme

Each year we train 16 Key Stage 2 pupils to act as ICT Mentors.  This means that they become advocates for ICT and its safe use in school.  They are also trained to work in classes to support other children and the teachers.

The mentors had to apply for the post, be interviewed by the ICT leaders and complete systematic training.  This training involves e-safety, ICT skills and also their interpersonal skills.

We believe this scheme helps other pupils as well as the staff.  It does, however, do much to help the skills and self-esteem of the ICT Mentors.  Bill Gates watch out!
