Wellbeing Strategy

Striving for Health & Happiness
Striving for Health & Happiness

In our mission statement the importance of promoting pupils' health and wellbeing is central.  We believe that we have, do and will always put pupils' welfare at the top of our priorities. We decided, however, that a specific strategic plan to champion pupils' wellbeing would be helpful.

Therefore, as part of our last school development plan we conducted an audit with pupils and parents to establish a baseline for lifestyles and diets.  We then responded with a list of possible goals from these audits.  These ideas were then discussed with the pupils, the school council, parents and the Board of Governors.

The result of this work is this three-year plan.  It helps our school to provide a wider range of learning, experiences and thinking opportunities to improve pupils' wellbeing.

During the third year of the plan we will audit our families again.  We will assess the success of the strategy and then develop a new plan for the next three-years.

Healthy and happy pupils make the best pupils!
