Each year in November our school holds an anti-bullying week as part of a UK wide campaign.  This year our week was entitled 'Friendship Week'.  The feedback from the pupils was fantastic!  They were taught the main forms of bullying behaviour and how they should get help if they encounter it in school or beyond.

We pride ourselves on having a proactive and systematic process to deal with cases of bullying.  Thankfully it is a very rare type of behaviour in our school.  It is important that we never become complacent.  To reduce the chances of bullying we have put in place the following measures:

  1. An annual anti-bullying week;
  2. Our policy and procedures are updated every two years in consultation with stakeholders;
  3. Pupils are provided with anti-bulling materials including class posters a school council designed flyer;
  4. Each room has a comment box for pupils to report problems;
  5. A weekly 'drop in centre' for pupils to discuss their worries;
  6. Organised playground games and quality supervision;
  7. A good ethos of pastoral care.
